What SplashBooq is

SplashBooq is booking and operations software for watersports rental businesses. Rental operators use our web and mobile apps to manage their fleet, bookings, customers, waivers, and payments records. Customers of those businesses interact with SplashBooq through booking widgets and waiver-signing links.

Information we collect

From operators: account details (name, email, password stored as a one-way hash), business details (company name, locations, fleet, pricing), and device push-notification tokens if you enable booking alerts.

From rental customers (on behalf of the operator): booking details, name, email, phone, delivery address when applicable, electronic waiver signatures, and — when a customer chooses to provide them — a photo ID image and card authorization details limited to the cardholder name, billing ZIP, and last four digits. We never collect or store full payment card numbers.

How it's used

Solely to operate the service: taking and managing bookings, sending booking confirmations, receipts, invoices and waiver links by email, sending push notifications operators asked for, and maintaining the legal record of signed agreements. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Storage & security

Data is stored with cloud providers (Neon for the database, Vercel for hosting and file storage, Resend for email delivery). Sensitive files — signatures, photo IDs — live in private storage reachable only by the staff of the business that collected them. Every business's data is isolated at the database level.

Your choices

Rental customers should direct requests about their data (access, correction, deletion) to the rental business they booked with, which controls that data; we act on its instructions. Operators can contact us directly to export or delete their account.
